Path To The Pros
HEROIC and Thunderpick are teaming up to offer you a unique pathway to earning your share of $17,500 and the chance to play against the HEROIC lineup, right from the comfort of your Faceit 5-stack.
About Path To The Pros
Every 2 weeks on Saturdays from July 6 to October 12, 2024 we will host two 64-team, single elimination brackets, one for Faceit levels 1-7 and one for 8-10.
The winning teams will earn a nice bit of pocket money ($2,500 split between the winning teams) and an invite to a 16-team, professionally produced, online tournament where they will compete for a further $15,000. The final winner will then get the chance to play in a show match against HEROIC! Want to join? Head over to the HEROIC Faceit page to sign up.

Tournament FAQs
Q: How do I register for the tournament?
A: Head over to the HEROIC Faceit page to register. Please make sure you go through the Path To The Pros Rule Book (opens pdf) before you do so.
Q: How do I keep in touch with the latest info?
A: We’ll keep this page updated as the tournament unfolds but we also created a Discord you can join to keep in touch with the community.
Q: I need help with my match, how can I contact an admin?
A: Join the tournament Discord here for live admin support on match days or call an admin to your lobby using the ‘Call Admin’ button for problems with the match room.
Q: Can I compete in future brackets if I win one and already qualify for the main event?
A: Yes, as long as you keep playing with the same team that you qualified for the main event with, you’re welcome to defend your title and can still earn any prize money attached to winning more than once. If you do win more than once, the 2nd-place team will earn the qualification spot instead.
Q: Can I compete with different teammates over different weeks?
Yes, if you haven’t won a bracket already. If you have won a bracket, then you must compete with the same team for the duration of the event.
Q: Can we enter the event with a coach?
A: Yes, you can enter the event with a coach who will be able to join your team’s spectator slot during matches. You will also be able to register with 2 stand-ins for each qualifier, but your coach cannot also play as a stand-in and vice versa.
Q: Am I allowed to stream these matches?
A: Yes, but we ask that you add a delay of at least 120 seconds to your broadcast to uphold competitive integrity. You’ll also need to use Thunderpick Path to the Pros (or the abbreviated version, Thunderpick P2P) in your stream title.
Q: My team is scattered around the world, can we enter?
Unfortunately, the tournament will be region-locked to Europe so players will have to compete from a European country. A Moscow server will also be available.
Q: Which maps are in the map pool?
The maps are: Dust2, Mirage, Nuke, Vertigo, Ancient, Inferno, Anubis.
Q: How will the prize pool be split?
There’s a total of $17,500 up for grabs. The main event has $15,000 in prize money which will be split as follows – 1st: $7,000, 2nd: $4,000, 3rd and 4th: $1,000 and 5th to 8th places: $500. Qualifiers also come with prizes which are split between the 1st and 2nd spot. In the Experienced Players Bracket, the prizes are $150 for 1st place and $75 for 2nd place, while in the Amateur Players Bracket, the prizes are $65 for 1st place and $25 for 2nd place.
Q: How does my team claim our prize money?
A: To claim your prize money, you must have a valid PayPal account and be a member of the tournament Discord for assistance from admins. To streamline the payment process, prize money will be sent to a single representative of the team, who will be responsible for distributing it among team members as they see fit.
Q: When will prize money be paid out?
A: Prize money will be paid out within 2 weeks of the end of each qualifier or within 2 weeks of receiving a valid PayPal email address from an eligible person.
